“The Gospel is the power of God

unto Salvation”

 (Romans 1:16)

G

od gave His only begotten Son to die on the cross for mankind sins. When that sacrifice was completed, it granted man an opportunity to once again united with the God of creation as well as the opportunity to enter into a living fellowship through communication.

Hence, Salvation or being saved has many component that should be realized and understood.

Scripture Presentation

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Scripture in Motion

What is Salvation and being saved?

The Hebrew and Greek word for “Saved” means the following:

deliverance, safety, preservation, healing, and soundness. Salvation is the great inclusive word of the Gospel, gathering into itself all the redemptive acts and processes: as justification, redemption, grace, propitiation, imputation, forgiveness, sanctification, and glorification.

The 3 phases of Salvation:

1. The believer has been saved -2 Timothy 1:9

     a. saved from the guilt and penalty of sin

Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

2. Being saved - Romans 6:14

     a. being saved from the habit and dominion

        of sin

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

3. To be saved - 1 John 3:2

     a. saved in the sense of entire conformity

         to Christ.

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Close: We were, are and being saved as the continuing process occurs day by day by our Lord God, creator of the universe. It is all the work of God, his plan, his intervention and his sovereignty.  God is God all by himself and there is none to be compared.  We need to take time out daily to come to grips with this fact and that is, “John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

A message to you, my friend….

Do you know that God loves you? And is very concerned about your eternal future?  Well, we read in the Bible in the book of Saint John (3:16), the third chapter and the sixteenth verse, “God so Loved the World that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life”.

God Love You

My friend, He was referring to you and I, and the only thing that you have to do in order to make this a true factor in your life is believe it.  Ask God to touch your heart right now and give you the faith to believe.

The Bible also states in Romans (10:9,10,13) Chapter ten, verses nine and ten, “That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you will be saved”, and it went on to say, “For with the heart man believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” Let’s Pray…God please accept this one who you love, forgive me for my sins and give me the Holy Spirit right now. I believe and receive you now.  Ask God Now
